These two flood meadows on Weald Common were acquired by Epping Forest Council in 1996. New hedgerows have been planted and the grassland is cut annually for hay. As a result the meadows are covered in cowslips in spring, giving way to ragged robin in early summer.

Visiting

Off High Road, North Weald (B181). Reached via Weald Common open space. Park by village hall.

Central line to Epping and 620 bus from there.

Accessible at all times.
